There is more to running a political association than most people realise. Here is a breakdown of the main areas I spend my time on.

What I focus on
Running the Association
Chairing meetings, managing the committee, setting the agenda for the year. Making sure the association is organised, funded, and moving in the right direction.
Community engagement
Getting out and talking to people - at events, at meetings, online. Listening properly, not just waiting to make a point. Building real relationships with residents across NE Somerset.
Public speaking
Speaking at meetings, hustings, and public events. Communicating clearly without resorting to waffle or jargon. Getting better at this all the time.
Volunteer coordination
Coordinating volunteers, organising events and activities, and managing the practical side of how a local association operates day to day.
Policy & advocacy
Working alongside local councillors and engaging with the party on issues relevant to NE Somerset and Hanham.
Digital & social media
Maintaining an online presence and using social platforms to communicate and engage with people of all ages across NE Somerset and Hanham.
