About me
From Saltford.
Conservative Chairman at 18.
I grew up in Saltford and have spent the past few years building my political experience on the ground. Here’s a bit more about me.
My story
A bit about me
I grew up in Saltford, where local issues feel immediate and where you learn quickly that if you want something to improve, you have to get involved yourself. That is what first drew me into Conservative politics.
I am studying Politics at the University of Surrey while serving as Chairman of the North East Somerset and Hanham Conservative Association. I was elected at 18 and, so far as I am aware, that makes me one of the youngest Conservative Association Chairmen in the country in modern times.
My political experience has been built largely on the ground: leafleting, canvassing, attending council meetings, helping in by-elections, and listening carefully to residents at local events. I am focused on building real organisational experience and understanding how a local association functions in practice.
Timeline
How I got here
At 15, I attended the Conservative leadership hustings on my own and asked Rishi Sunak a question in front of a live audience. It was an early moment that showed me politics was something I wanted to pursue seriously.
In September 2023, my political journey properly began. I started campaigning on the ground, had work experience in Parliament shadowing Jacob Rees-Mogg's team and attending Prime Minister's Questions, and volunteered at Empire Fighting Chance, where I supported boxing sessions and group activities for young people.
In 2024, I campaigned in the Kingswood by-election and took part in wider campaigning in places including Uxbridge and the West Midlands alongside Andy Street. It gave me experience of different campaigns, different electorates and the discipline of proper grassroots work.
In 2025, I campaigned in local council elections including Saltford and Mendip. That same year, I was honoured to receive the William Cross Prize for Politics at Kingswood School in recognition of the political work I had put in over the previous few years.
Having been at the University of Surrey since September 2025, I stood in the May 2026 elections in Heatherside and Parkside in Surrey. I was also elected Chairman of the North East Somerset and Hanham Conservative Association at 18, with a focus on rebuilding the association and strengthening campaigning well before polling day.
School & early experience
Before the association
Before university, I studied Politics, History and English Literature at A-level and served as a Senior Prefect. I ran for Bath Student Parliament, represented Australia in the UNESCO Committee at Model United Nations, and took every chance I could to sharpen my public speaking. I also attended local council meetings to understand how decisions are made in practice. In September 2023, alongside the start of my active political journey, I volunteered at Empire Fighting Chance, supporting boxing sessions and group activities for young people.
